Neoenergia sells 50% of Itabapoana Transmission

The transaction has a value of R$ 127.5 million and assets will be invested in the holding company Neoenergia Transmission, a company 50% Neoenergia and 50% GIC

Neoenergia signed an agreement to sell 50% of its interest in the Itabapoana transmission asset to GIC. The transaction amount is R$ 127.5 million, subject to usual adjustments until the transaction is concluded

The assets will be invested in the Neoenergia Transmission holding, an investment vehicle in this segment of the group that already has a 50% stake in GIC, since April 2023. At the end of this transaction, the structure will remain the same: 50% Neoenergia and 50% GIC

The deal is another step in Neoenergia's asset rotation plan, which always seeks to capture the best opportunities in the market. It also represents the evolution of successful cooperation with GIC, which brings more strength to the group's plans for investments in broadcasting

By the end of 2025, Neoenergia ends its investment cycle in Transmission, with the entry into operation of the last four lots under construction (Vale Itajaí, Guanabara, Morro do Chapéu and Alto Paranaíba). This represents approximately R$ 1 billion in additional RAP. In 2024, the Itabapoana, Estreito and Paraíso projects were delivered, in addition to important sections of Morro do Chapéu, Guanabara and Vale do Itajaí, adding about R$ 300 million in new Annual Permissible Revenue (RAP) and closing 2024 with R$ 1 billion of

RAP released.

The Itabapoana project, acquired from the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) in December 2018, has 221.9 kilometers of dual circuit transmission line between the Mutum (MG) and Campos 2 (RJ) substations, with a voltage of 500 kV.
