Neoenergia completes the implementation of the AGR project for the automatic reconnection of the distribution network in Rio Grande do Sul

6/14/24

With the use of intelligent algorithms, teams gain more agility to repair in the event of shutdowns

Rio de Janeiro, June 14, 2024 — Neoenergia has just completed the implementation of the AGR (acronym in English for Automatic Network Recomposition) project in the Neoenergia Cosern concession area, where about 1.6 clients are served in Rio Grande do Norte. The system uses intelligent algorithms that work as virtual controllers that use network information in real time to identify sections in need of repair, ensuring greater agility and efficiency in the restoration

of the energy supply.

Another advantage of automatic recomposition is to isolate damaged sections and reconnect the rest of the network to re-establish service in the shortest possible time. The project is currently expanding and will also serve Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE) clients

.

The AGR is part of the SISCON Program, a Neoenergia Network Processes and Technology (P&T) initiative, which includes the implementation of new systems of operation, the modernization of the information infrastructure and the standardization of operating processes in about a thousand municipalities served by the distributors

included in the initiative.

We have a robust investment strategy in digitalization, seeking efficiency and increasing the quality of supply to improve the experience of our customers. The deployment of new distribution management systems is always a major challenge. With the AGR project, we ensure more robustness, technology and safety to our processes and, consequently, the improvement of service delivery”, explains Carlos Eduardo Ferreira Soares, Superintendent of

Development and Application at Neoenergia.
