Neoenergia has just won the Golden Tombstone Award 2024, from the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives, in the M&A category (acronym in English for mergers and acquisitions). This was the first time that a company won with two transactions in the same prize class. The company won first place with the exchange of hydroelectric plant assets with Eletrobras; and second place, with the sale of 50% of eight operating transmission assets to GIC, together with a partnership agreement to participate in transmission auctions. The announcement was made this Wednesday (19) in São Paulo.

The purpose of the IBEF-SP award is to recognize companies that stood out last year for the innovation and relevance of financial transactions. “The operations are aligned with the asset rotation strategy, focusing on the valuation and optimization of our portfolio. The award is a recognition of a business model that represents greater value generation for shareholders with discipline in the allocation of capital,” said Carlos Choqueta, Executive Director of

Development at Neoenergia.
