Neoenergia awards partners outstanding in the promotion of best practices

Neoenergia, an Iberdrola's​ controlled company, has granted in Wednesday (18) the 2019 Supplier of the Year Award, aimed at promoting, stimulating and, mainly, recognizing the suppliers' performance. The work performed by the partners and the fostering of best practices are critical for achieving the Company's strategic goals.

 

The event, held in Coelba's headquarters, in Salvador, celebrated partnerships that add value to Neoenergia's business in 10 categories: Operating and Administrative Services, Information Technology, Equipment and Materials, Technical Services, Safety and Health, Quality and Performance, Equality and Diversity, Competitiveness and Innovation and Social Responsibility.

Mário Ruiz-Tagle, Neoenergia's CEO opened officially the event by welcoming the 160 guests of the award cerimony.  Then a brief presentation on integrity was held by the Compliance corporate superintendent, Roberto Medeiros. After that, the winners were announced.

Around 100 companies supplying products or services to Neoenergia were assessed. The highlight was the Supplier of the Year, ALUBAR, a manufacturer of electrical cabling. The award was given by Mário Ruiz-Tagle, Neoenergia's CEO. In the Equipment and Materials category, the winner was Condumax, who received the award from the hands of the Electric Equipment Purchasing Officer of Iberdrola Group, Ignácio Sanchez Galán. 

 

 

The Competitiveness and Innovation award was handed out to Eletra by the Purchasing and Insurance Officer of Iberdrola Group, Asis Canales. In the Safety and Health category, the awarded company was CENEGED, receiving this recognition from the Works, Services and Materials for Technical Installations Officer of Iberdrola Group, Begoña Ochoa.

The winner in Operating and Administrative Services was Bradesco Saúde. IBM was the best supplier in Information Technology. Dois A Engenharia was the winner in Technical Services category and Romagnole was the first ranked in Quality and Performance.  In Equality and Diversity category, the highlight was the manufacturer of transformers Itaipu. And the Social Responsibility award was granted to Balestro, a company in the electro-mechanics industry.   

The award was defined based on the analysis of the supplier performance in aspects of infrastructure, logistics, service quality, safety, social and environmental practices and ethics.  The recognition for the partnership results.

“This is a very important moment when the company recognizes the work developed with suppliers to engage them, mainly, with the two most significant challenges we face: service quality and efficiency", said Mario Ruiz-Tagle when highlighting the responsibility to deliver increasingly improved services to consumers. “To that end, we need engaged suppliers, willing to work with us in the product improvement and who have an innovative mindset to achieve our customer's satisfaction", he added. 

 

 

Always a part of Neoenergia's daily activities, sustainability was the theme of a lecture presented by the journalist Rosana Jatobá, master in Management of Environmental Tecnologies, who addressed the commitments assumed by Brazil with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)s.

The event also had the attendance of Neoenergia's officers André Moreira, from Networks Department, Rogério Aschermann Martins, from Resources, Laura Cristina da Fonseca Porto, from Renewables, Simone Aparecida Borsato, from Corporate Development, Pollymark Aquino, Purchasing Deputy Officer and Fulvio Machado, Coelba's CEO.
