Neoenergia offers possibility of paying the energy bill in up to 12 installments through credit cards

When bills are piling up, this may hurt the financial health. Aiming at easing Neoenergia's customers life and in view of the economic scenario arising from coronavirus pandemic, the company is offering to consumers the option of paying the energy bill in up to 12 installments through their credit card. This mode will also allow payment in one lump sum, without interest. Payment can be made through the company's website, ensuring the consumer's convenience.

Under this new model, credit cards from Master, Visa, Hiper, Elo and Amex brands are accepted. This is possible due to a partnership between Neoenergia and Flexpag, a company specializing in payments through credit and debit cards.

To adhere to the installment plan, Neoenergia requires that customers contact the company through the following service channels of the corresponding concessionaire of their state.

After accessing the installment plan option, mark the option “Pay with Credit Card". The customer shall inform data, number of installments requested (where the total amount, including interest, will be seen) and click “Pay".

Aneel's new requirements due to coronavirus are temporary and do not represent a waiver of the energy bill payment. Customers who fail to honor their financial commitments are subject to interest and a fine for late payment.

In order to facilitate the receipt and payment of the energy bills and also aiming at contributing to the economic health of all, the company advises its customers to register the account by email and update data (mainly email and mobile phone), through online channels or app on smartphone or tablet.

In addition, aiming at providing convenience and agility, Neoenergia also offers several payment channels to its customers, such as internet banking and automatic debit.​
