Regulatory framework

Marcelo Lopes argued that the first step in advancing the market of offshore wind energy in Brazil is the definition of a regulatory framework. “We need clear and consistent rules to develop the industrial chain with added value and the valuation of the socio-environmental attributes of the source. Only with the creation of the rules will we have legal and regulatory certainty and predictability for investors,” he said.

According to the executive, the partnership with the government of Ceará is aligned with Neoenergia's strategy. It is important for Brazil to prepare for the generation of new renewable energy sources that will evolve in the long term. O pioneirismo da Neoenergia foi fundamental para tornar a onshore wind power is a reality in the country. We believe that the emergence of new technologies for the generation of clean energy will lead us to the surest path to a just and sustainable energy transition”, ”,
