Neoenergia Institute announces selected candidates from the Transforming Energy into Culture 2023 program in three states
Over 30 projects will be supported by distributors in the states of Bahia, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Norte
Rio de Janeiro, October 23, 2023
The Neoenergia Institute announced this Monday (23) the final result of the Transforming Energy into Culture 2023 Program, in Bahia, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Norte.
The projects will be supported locally by the respective distributors operating in each state: Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Cosern (RN).
More than 30 projects were selected and all are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), and therefore seek to promote the social inclusion of socially vulnerable children, young people and women, ensuring the generation of work and income, as well as the appreciation of local cultures and traditions. In the Federal District, those selected are expected to be announced on October 31.
“Once again, it is a great satisfaction to recognize sociocultural actions that provide a positive impact on people's lives. Our goal is to leverage the transformative power of art and culture to build an even better society. The initiative reinforces our commitment to sustainable development, in addition to strengthening the movement in favor of the purposes of the UN Decade of Action,” said Renata Chagas, director-president of the Neoenergia Institute.
