The Neoenergia Institute, part of Neoenergia's private social investment, joined the Rouanet Rio Grande do Sul Emergency Program of the Ministry of Culture and now supports the Museum of Hip Hop Culture, in Porto Alegre, the first museum of its kind in Latin America. This initiative aims to maintain the institution's activities, support local artists, promote graffiti and revitalize other cultural spaces in the city

.

At a time when Rio Grande do Sul is rebuilding after the heavy rains that devastated the state, the Neoenergia Institute reaffirms its commitment to the cultural sector. The initiative aims to contribute to the strengthening of art and culture as pillars of social transformation, as well as to the improvement of people's quality of life. Humanitarian actions are also planned, including mental health care and the donation of basic food baskets to the population of Rio Grande

do Sul.

“We are committed to acting collaboratively so that art and culture can help Rio Grande do Sul's recovery process. As our Multiannual Action Plan provides for a front to support emergency actions of various kinds, it was possible to comply with the request of the Ministry of Culture. This initiative is aligned with the actions to safeguard heritage that are part of the pillar of art and culture,” explains Renata Chagas, CEO of

the Neoenergia Institute.

In addition, the Neoenergia Institute will support the continuity of the Museum's Biennial Plan, guaranteeing access to culture through various actions, such as: development of training and cultural activities; maintenance of the heritage and human resources necessary for management; and public service.

The start of the action was celebrated at an event in Porto Alegre on Wednesday (3), with the presence of ministers Margareth Menezes (Minister of Culture), Paulo Pimenta (Chief Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication of Brazil) and Waldez Góes (Minister of Integration and Regional Development), in addition to several representatives from the cultural area.
