6/10/24

Projects can receive up to R$ 500 thousand and will be selected in four states and the Federal District

Committed to promoting social inclusion and gender equity, the Neoenergia Institute is open for registration for the first call to encourage women's sports. Jogando Juntas will select projects for any sport practiced exclusively by women, operating in the five areas where Neoenergia is present in energy distribution, namely the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and São Paulo, in addition to the Federal District. The recipients can receive financial support of up to R$ 500 thousand.

Entries must be made on the Neoenergia Institute website by July 31. Civil society organizations interested in participating in the selection must be covered by the Federal Sports Law (11,438/2006) or the São Paulo Sports Incentive Law (13,918/2009). Projects must meet at least one of the three United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): eradication of poverty; gender equality; or reduction of

inequalities.

“The Neoenergia Institute follows the company's commitment to supporting the development of women's sports in the country. Jogando Juntas is another public notice that reinforces our purpose in favor of the inclusion of women on and off the grass or the courts,” says Renata Chagas, CEO of the Neoenergia Institute. The executive points out that the institution invested more than R$ 15.5 million in programs last year through incentive laws

.

Neoenergia is recognized as the company in the electrical sector that most encourages women's sports in Brazil. In addition to encouraging the inclusion of women in national sports, the actions promoted reaffirm the strengthening and humanization of the brand in the country, especially in its concession areas with the distributors Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco

(PE).
