Neoenergia Cosern is also awarded an honorable mention in Health and Safety; Neoenergia Elektro wins first place in Management Quality

 

For the second consecutive time, Neoenergia Cosern won the title of best distributor in the Northeast region at the Abradee Award. The utility, which is part of the Neoenergia group and provides energy to 1.6 million customers in Rio Grande do Norte, also received an honorable mention in Health and Safety. Neoenergia Elektro, responsible for distributing energy to nearly 3 million consumers in parts of the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, won the Management Quality category

The Abradee Award is one of the main awards in the Brazilian electricity sector awarded by the Brazilian Association of Electric Power Distributors. The award encourages best practices among energy distributors, which are divided into two categories: below and above 500 thousand consumers. The result was announced this Thursday at the Clube Naval de Brasília (DF)

“Being recognized as the best dealership in the Northeast for the second consecutive year fills us with pride. It is also the sixth time that we have won the title, a concrete evidence of the effort of our entire team to bring quality energy to all regions of the state, contributing to economic and social development”, celebrated Fabiana Lopes, CEO of Neoenergia Cosern.

The executive added that the distributor will invest more than R$ 2.1 billion in works on the Rio Grande do Norte electrical system between 2024 and 2027. The resources will ensure greater energy continuity and reliability for residential customers and diverse sectors of the local economy, such as industry, mining, commerce, tourism and services

Neoenergia Coelba, which serves around 6.7 million consumers in Bahia, was a finalist in Performance Evolution and the honorable mention in Health and Safety. Those selected for the Abradee Award 2024 follow a ranking based on data collected over the past year, with the collaboration of associated dealerships. The information collected regarding management, operation, and quality processes is analyzed and audited by nationally renowned partners such as the Ethos Institute, the National Quality Foundation (FNQ) and the Economic Research Institute Foundation (FIPE)
