Neoenergia Institute inaugurates educational project classroom in Caieiras

8/9/19

This Friday (9), Neoenergia Institute, in partnership with COOPCESP and the Caieiras Education Secretariat, has opened a classroom at Lourides Dell Porto Municipal School, where the performing arts classes will be held before/after school hours, for students from 1st to 5th grade.  The initiative is part of the Bright Minds project, developed by Elektro, through the Culture Incentive Law, which will work with children's socio-emotional skills, involving creativity, art and communication, boosting academic performance, as well as providing vocational guidance and psycho-pedagogical support.

The project contemplates the revitalization of a space to receive the activities, which will have theater teachers. “In class, teachers will work with students to develop expression and self-esteem, characteristics that make all the difference in a child's life. Still, it is an opportunity to deal with more complex topics, such as bullying, in a playful way, with a language that is easy to understand”, comments Renata Chagas, Director of the Neoenergia Institute.

The partnership lasts until December 2019 and will be developed with students from three other schools in the city:  EMEF Antônio Molinari, EMEF Carlos Bayerlein and EMEF Manoel Hurtado. The expectation is to serve about one thousand students and, later, the schools will absorb the initiative, ensuring its continuity and project sustainability.
