With reinforced teams during the party, distributors intensify network maintenance in all concession areas

The five Neoenergia distributors prepared a special operation to guarantee the supply of electricity with quality and safety during Carnival. The dealerships increased their teams and reinforced the maintenance of networks, especially in the Northeast, where two of the largest festivals in the country are located, in Bahia and Pernambuco. Preventive actions are added to the continuous maintenance actions already carried out annually.

Energy is foolery

Neoenergia also launched a campaign to infect thousands of revelers with fun and good humor to talk about a topic that is relevant to everyday life and that cannot be forgotten even during the party: security on the electricity grid. The project will shake up the Barra-Ondina circuit, in Salvador (BA), and the Galo da Madrugada block, in Recife (PE).

“We work daily to guarantee the energy supply during the party. We reinforced network security, increased our on-call teams, and intensified equipment maintenance. We have technological resources that can be activated immediately in the event of an occurrence. The message of our campaign is for everyone to enjoy Carnival by consuming energy safely and consciously,” says Giancarlo Vassão, Executive Director of Operations at Neoenergia.

Bahia

Neoenergia Coelba, the group's distributor in Bahia, further reinforced the electrical system of the Dodô, Osmar and Batatinha circuits. The dealership completed structural works and preventive maintenance on the three circuits, in addition to guaranteeing a special team scheme during the days of revelry. The distributor also replaced about 13 kilometers of wiring and installed more than 160 new poles and transformers on the circuits.

Pernambuco

At Neoenergia Pernambuco, the number of on-call teams, available 24 hours a day at the main entertainment points, increased by 40%. The Integrated Operations Center (COI), located in Recife, will also increase the number of operators by 20%, ensuring constant monitoring by teams of electricians, inspectors and engineers. In addition, four mobile substations will be ready to be connected to the system in case of emergency.

Rio Grande do Norte

At Neoenergia Cosern, carnival actions are included in the Summer Plan 2025, which began in the last quarter of last year, included New Year's Eve and runs until the end of the season. The resources are being invested in construction, maintenance and preventive pruning, washing the electrical grid in coastal municipalities, installation of 150 lightning rods and 40 new automatic rectifiers in areas that cover approximately 50 locations with festivals scheduled on the coast and interior of the state. All mapped carnival centers, including Natal, Parnamirim, Caicó, Tibau and Macau, will be monitored in real time by the IOC in Natal.

Federal District

Neoenergia Brasília will operate under a special regime, with a 30% increase in the number of field technicians for emergency restoration. 986 km of network were inspected. To ensure the fastest resumption in the event of interruptions at the event venues, teams will be allocated to strategic points.

São Paulo

At Neoenergia Elektro, the headcount increased by more than 20% compared to an ordinary day. The operation will be monitored in real time by the Integrated Operations Center (COI) in Campinas (SP), allowing us to monitor the operation of the 159 electrical substations and the position of all teams in the field. The carnival operation operates mainly in the coastal cities of São Paulo and in São Luiz do Paraitinga, where a traditional street carnival takes place.
