The greatest open water swimmer is the fourth athlete to join the Neoenergia Team, which focuses on supporting Brazilian women's sports

First Brazilian woman to win Olympic gold in open water, Ana Marcela Cunha from Bahia wants the two-time championship at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. To fulfill this dream, the athlete now has another important partnership that will help her to raise the quality of her preparation for competitions in France. The athlete has just joined the Neoenergia Team whose focus is on promoting gender equity and boosting women's sports in Brazil.

Here, I started my career and my passion for swimming was born. The sea is a source of energy and inspires me daily to overcome challenges. The choice of the athlete was also due to her connection with brand values, such as sustainable development. The water marathon runner is a representative of the Sea Defense Council of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) and Sustainability Ambassador of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), focusing on cleaning and depolluting seas and rivers.

“We want to provide Ana Marcela with the necessary energy to shine even more in competitions. Our new ambassador is an example for other young women to pursue a career in sports. Ana Marcela is 31 years old and is a native of Salvador, Bahia, a state where Neoenergia, through its distributor Neoenergia Coelba, serves more than 6 million customers. The most recent achievement was last year with the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. Considered the greatest open-water swimmer of all time, she also collects 14 other world medals, including seven gold medals.
