The AMT 600 ground mesh analyzer is a pioneering national technology and is an efficient solution for safely measuring the electrical resistance of ground meshes in substations. It is also used to measure pitch tensions, touch tension, and continuity between grounded parts in these environments.

Among the main characteristics that differentiate it is its ability to operate in energized substations, working with frequencies close to industrial frequency and a wide level of currents, which allows it to be used with the substation fully operational.

Previously, this activity was properly carried out only with imported products, which were more expensive and less affordable.

In addition to presenting high-tech analog and digital filters and higher power levels for carrying out the tests, even though it is portable and battery operated, the AMT 600 has a high degree of accuracy compared to imported equipment.

Planned Measurement

The AMT 600 adds several technical and operational features, including “planned measurement”, which uses geolocation to map the lines that arrive or leave the substation and, especially, the substation's grounding mesh, the test directions and the positioning points of the voltage and current rods for carrying out the measurements.

This functionality allows the person responsible to generate reports and create a history to monitor the evolution of the resistance of the ground mesh over time, since the plans can be exported and reused to replicate the inspections whenever necessary, thus generating a mass of data and history that indicate the real physical state of the mesh under test and the compensation of downward currents from the guard.

With the present characteristics, the equipment must keep the electrical installations in balance, allowing a zero reference voltage, it must enable the use of the equipment in the facilities, conditioning the simultaneous operation of the various components, guarantee the safety of professionals who transit this environment, as well as the popular ones who live close to the facilities, and contribute to the correct operation of the protection system and maintain the integrity and functioning of the equipment.
