Learn the story of Rinaldo, 52, Janeide's husband, father of Thalyta, Jéssica, Thayná, and Thayane, passionate about his family, professionally accomplished and electrician for Neoenergia Pernambuco.

It's been 28 years of dedication to the mission of illuminating lives, but Rinaldo Cesário's energy seems to be renewed with each new working day. “I wake up, grease my boots daily, and I will work with the same determination and will as I did on my first day at NeoEnergia Pernambuco,” she says. One of the ever-present ingredients is the satisfaction of making a difference for so many people, added to the capacity for innovation and a good daily dose of good humor.

As a child, Rinaldo was a creative boy, for whom every broken motorbike could become a new invention: “My mother needed to keep an eye out, because I was always looking for something new to entertain me and I loved electricity”. His creativity and concern to propose solutions continue to yield new inventions. “The need makes me creative; when I notice a difficulty in the field, I keep hammering until I can unravel it,” he points out. This is how his two main inventions appeared: the Little Bird Scarecrow, a simple object made of reused plastic, which prevents the bird from nesting in the key; in addition to an adapter for placing the phase failure identifier, made at no cost, with the recycling of the pet bottle, which works to fit the equipment into the electrical network without the need for Linha Viva equipment.
Father of four daughters, Rinaldo is a reference for his family and has spared no demonstration of love and affection since Thalyta was born 21 years ago, when he had to overcome a major challenge. When her daughter was just 2 years old, Gilvanise, Thalyta's mother and then the electrician's wife, passed away. There were no family members around to help him care for the child. “I would never give up having my daughter near me. I asked my sister to come live at my house. She brought her family and I took it upon me to provide for them financially for over a year. That's when I met Janeide, we got married and she started taking care of Thalyta with a mother's love”. More than two decades later, the growth of her oldest daughter is cause for celebration: after passing through five higher education institutions, she chose the Federal University of Pernambuco to study Architecture.

Before remarrying, Rinaldo had another daughter, Jéssica, and the family was complete with two more daughters, already married to Janeide — Thayná and Thayane. “Today, we are one family,” she says. “Our father is like light, it brightens and shines wherever he goes,” says the youngest, Thayane.

To continue making a difference in the lives of his daughters, wife, friends, and clients, he doesn't give up safe, reinforced learning after having to overcome the tragic loss of a co-worker. “The only heartbreak and embarrassment in my profession was having to remove a dead friend from the pole 15 years ago. I will never forget that scene. Overconfidence and any inattention can be fatal. That's why Safety is paramount”.

Rinaldo Cesário is the father of Thalyta (21), Jéssica (18), Thayná (14), Thayane (9) and Janeide's husband of 17 years.
