Neoenergia is an official partner of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) to support athletes from various Olympic sports, benefiting female athletes, including those who represent Team Brazil. The initiative expands the company's activities to further strengthen women's sports in the country and strengthens the brand's position after establishing itself as a pioneer in supporting women's soccer, through sponsorship of the Brazilian Women's Teams and the national club championship, the Brasileirão Feminino Neoenergia

.

Leadership in supporting women's sports

The new sponsorship consolidates Neoenergia's leadership as the company that, today, is recognized in the energy sector as the one that most supports women's sports in Brazil. The partnership's resources will be allocated to the COB in initiatives based on two pillars: gender equality and sustainability.
The partnership is aligned with the company's commitments to strengthen the role of women in society and to promote sustainability in the country. In addition, it aims to expand gender equality, both through a work environment with more jobs for women and by encouraging women's sports, increasingly strengthening the presence of great promising athletes.

Historic moment for gender equality in sports

The partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee comes at an important moment in the history of the Brazilian Olympic sport. For the first time, the number of female Team Brazil athletes will be higher than that of men at an Olympic Games, with more than 50% female participation.

Neoenergia, committed to the development of women's sports in Brazil, supports women from various sports and encourages their champion trajectories. The Brazilian Women's Soccer Team has been supported by the company since 2021 and, in 2022, Neoenergia went one step further and began sponsoring the women's national soccer championship, which was renamed the Neoenergia Women's Brasileirão. In 2023, she started supporting athletes who became brand ambassadors and, this year, are present at the world games.

Global Commitment

In line with the Global Group of which it belongs, Neoenergia is committed to strengthening the company's operations for the benefit of the development of women's sports in the world. Iberdrola supports 35 sports federations, which bring together more than 800,000 athletes. Additionally, the company has 35 women brand ambassadors.

Thus, with the determination of an Olympic athlete, Neoenergia is firmly following this purpose to bring Brazilian women's sport to the highest place on the podium.

Program for young athletes

Celine Bispo, South American youth swimming champion, will be at the Paris Games, through the COB program for young athletes.

This year, the Brazilian Olympic Committee has an unprecedented initiative, inviting promising athletes to a unique experience at the Paris Olympics. In a select group of young people, it will be possible to experience the Olympic environment, absorb the atmosphere of the games and be inspired for future competitions. The swimmer Celine Bispo, a member of the Neoenergia Team, is one of those included in the program. The recognition further reinforces Neoenergia's commitment to women's sports and gender equity.

Clean energy at CT Team Brazil

A key player in the country's energy transition, Neoenergia will support the COB in its decarbonization goals. Through energy solutions, Neoenergia will implement sustainability actions that will reduce CO2 emissions at the Team Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro, formerly the Maria Lenk Aquatic Center.

Sustainability in focus

By adopting a carbon reduction policy by half, Paris 2024 is the first Olympics of the Modern Era to be 100% sustainable, compared to the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Games. The 2024 edition follows the rules established in the 2020+5 Olympic Agenda and the Paris Agreement.
